Herschey Liss is an Associate at Max Benjamin Partners, where he is involved in sourcing, underwriting, managing client relationships, and closing both debt and equity placements.

Herschey’s foundation in real estate finance began at The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a business degree with a concentration in real estate finance. There, he developed a deep understanding of real estate development, capital markets, and sales. As a licensed real estate agent, he helped hundreds of UT students secure housing and negotiate favorable lease terms in Austin’s competitive rental market.

His experience spans both the development and financing sides of real estate. Before joining MBP, Herschey worked at Cypress Equity Investments in Los Angeles, where he focused on underwriting as well as assisting in the entitlement and permitting processes for multifamily mixed-use developments in Santa Monica. He later joined Wells Fargo’s Agency Lending division, working on financing solutions for multifamily, student housing, senior housing, and manufactured housing projects.

At MBP, Herschey has been instrumental in sourcing and executing transactions ranging from $10 million to over $100 million. Outside of work, you’ll find Herschey on the tennis court, in the gym, or exploring new happy hour spots.
